The Saturdays look set to make a huge impact on this week's Official Singles Chart with their new track, What About Us FT Sean Paul.

We caught up with three fifths of the Anglo Irish girl group - Mollie King, Una Healy and Frankie Sandford - to find out what it was like working with Sean Paul, their new TV show, Chasing The Saturdays, and their new album, and if they can finally land that eve illusive Number 1 single!

The Saturdays

The Saturdays are a British-Irish girlband formed in 2007. They exploded on to the charts with their debut single “If This Is Love” released in July 2008 on the same label as Girls Aloud - Fascination Records. The single hit number 8 on the UK singles chart, selling 15,000 copies in the first week. It was certified platinum with the BPI. The release was followed up with their debut studio album Chasing Lights in the same year, reaching no. 9 in the UK charts. The second and third singles, “Up” and “Issues”, reached number 5 and number 4 respectively in the charts.

During the summer of 2008, The Saturdays supported Girls Aloud for their Tangled Up tour.

The Saturdays then went on to perform on their own tour titled The Work Tour, with 27 dates. The tour opened in June 2009. It had six sold-out shows with Pixie Lott as the support act.

Recording of Wordshaker, The Saturdays’ second studio album, started during the tour. The album was preceded by the lead single “Forever Is Over”, which reached second place in the UK Singles Chart. The track was originally written for Kelly Clarkson by the former Busted and Son of Dork member James Bourne. “Ego” is the second single released from the album and charted in ninth place. The album peaked at number 9 in the UK Albums Chart

The Headlines! Tour got under way in February 2011, with gigs in Britain and Ireland.

The Saturday’s third album was designated as an EP- Headlines!, peaking in 3rd place on the UK Albums Chart. “Missing You” was its lead single, coming in at number 3 on the UK singles chart. "Higher" was released as the second single.

In November 2011, a third studio album was released, titled On Your Radar. The album, mostly written by the five-piece outfit themselves, is more club oriented. The album features such artists as Taio Cruz, Steve Mac and Labrinth. “Notorious” the lead single, reached 8th place in the UK Singles Chart with the follow up single “All Fired Up” reaching number 3. The third single released was My Heart Takes Over.

The All Fired Up Tour took place during December 2011. They reached numer 7 in the UK singles chart with their hit 30 Days in 2012
