Lady GagaLady Gaga is a hugely successful American recording artist. Lady Gaga grew up in State of New York, educated at the Convent of the Sacred Heart before briefly attending the NYU School of the Arts subsequently leaving to focus on her musical career. Lady Gaga is most noted for style of pop music which is readily accessible across the globe.
Her influences range from Michael Jackson to Queen and she is recognized for her flamboyant, diverse and outré contributions to the music industry through her fashion, performances and music videos. She has sold an over an estimated 80+ million combined total of albums and singles making her one of the best selling artists of all times.
Signed to Universal Records, Lady Gaga made a huge impact on the music industry in 2008 when she released her debut album The Fame. Just Dance got seven no.1’s on national charts, including the US Billboard Hot 100 and UK Singles Chart and got a further twelve top ten chartings. Second single Poker Face was even more of a hit and reached the number 1 spot across eighteen countries.
A clash of styles influenced The Fame Monster EP that included cross decade and multi genre infusions. The album was also inspired by fashion shows and runways. According to Gaga, the album deals with the darker side of fame, including love, sex, alcohol and more. The most notable single from the EP was Telephone which featured the guest vocals from Beyonce. The single reached number 1 in eighteen countries including the U.S, U.K and Canada.
Lady Gaga is one of MUZU.TVs most popular artists racking up over 1,670,000 views on Poker Face and over 174,000 views for her video Telephone. As a result of this Lady Gaga always features very heavily in our most popular playlists.
