This is the official music video for “When Love Takes Over” an electro-house song by the world renowned French Dj that is David Guetta and American recording artist Kelly Rowland, who fell in love with the track, convinced Guetta to allow her to take it so that she could write and record vocals for it. The song's lyrics carry a message of the euphoria one feels when in love with a significant other, while the production bears some similarities to Coldplay's 2002 hit single, "Clocks". The music video was filmed on 19 May 2009 at Venice Beach, Los Angeles, directed by Jonas Akerlund. David Guetta revealed that the video's story and concept were designed to mimic the story behind the song's creation. He said, "you see Kelly doing her thing and then me on the other side doing mine.
