Smooth-flowing hip-hop from a classy Johannesburg producer / rapper just starting out in the game. This track was unearthed by the 2001 Silvertab Harambe Dope Sessions project, put together by African Dope and Matchboxology, which saw a nationwide hiphop demo competition broadcast weekly on top SA youth station YFM, culminating in the release of a compilation album of the winning tracks. Live events resulted in Hoodlum being chosen for a music video, put together by Meme in their distinctive urban arthouse style.
