Chris Cunningham’s music videos are known for being weird and wonderful. We take a look at 5 classic Chris Cunnigham videos.
5) Autechre – Second Bad Vilbel
Chris Cunnigham was born in England and went onto work on the Judge Dread film starring Sylvester Stallone. He then went on to work with Stanley Kubrick on the film, A.I before turning to music videos. His first video was Autechre’s Second Bad Vibel. For this video,Cunnigham says in the Directors Label book that he was “trying to build this chunk of non-specific industrial machinery that would come apart in time to the music. So I built this model in my back garden and got all these pieces of machinery and stuff and ended up filming them.”
