N-dubz sassy singer Tulisa underwent surgery yesterday to remove a lump in her nose. The lump had been detected during a routine check-up in November and the singer wasted no time in getting it removed, even though the procedure involved going under a general anaesthetic. She was also concerned the operation could ruin her now-famous voice, which has been central to N-dubz success.
With Tulisa back from her Christmas break, the surgery was preformed at London’s Cromwell Hospital despite her anxiety leading up to the it. “Tulisa couldn’t take the risk of leaving the lump there but she was nervous that the procedure itself could harm her voice,” said a source close to the group.
And despite her recent controversies involving social networking sit Twitter, Tulisa seemed to be using the medium to great comedy effect while in her hospital bed. She had recently come under fire for unloading a tirade of abuse at a fan on Twitter after he mocked her for thinking Argentina is in Europe. Her response caused widespread complaints, but she defended herself, saying, “This is my Twitter! U can’t cum on ere violating me talkin like that and if u do u will get it back times 10.”
But nobody would have done anything but chuckle at the tweats made from her hospital bed. Updating fans even as she went under the anaesthetic, she said. “Guna b in for 8 hours! Guna b a serious sleep! I hate needles, Id rather b punched in da face!”
This was soon followed by a declaration regarding her choice of post-surgery rehabilitation.”Wen I wake up I want nandos, my martina cole book & my ds sittin infront of me! & a BIG capri sun!” she said, before her final post. “Haha doc is givin me valium 2 calm me down cus of my heart palpitations! Ok valium kickin in now time for me 2 rest, da place is spinnin.”
The operation is reported to have been a success. “It seems she’s fine,” a source said afterwards.
