A friend and I were talking the other day about great movies with unreal soundtracks and it was only afterwards that I thought of one that you might not necessarily think of straight away; 500 Days of Summer.
I love this movie for so many reasons; the super cool cast, the back and forth between 70s and present day culture, and most of all, the super cool soundtrack. The female lead in the film, Zooey Deschanel, herself fronts a band called She & Him who also feature on the soundtrack. One of the best scenes in the whole movie also comes when Joseph Gordan Levitt’s character goes on a date to a karaoke bar, gets really drunk and in a bid to impress this girl, begins singing Pixies……..You have to see that!
Well, you should really watch the entire movie and when you do, keep an eye out for the really cool scene when “Sweet Disposition” by the Temper Trap comes on…….. Enjoy!
