Jet Announce Split
Jet announced last night that they have split up after 11 long years together. The band released three albums throughout the course of their career and sold over 6.5 million records. Their 2003 debut ‘Get Born’, which contained the hit singles ‘Are You Gonna Be My Girl?’, ‘Cold Hard Bitch’ and ‘Rollover DJ’, sold over 3.5 million copies on its own. No mean feat.
The band posted a statement about their split: “After many successful years of writing, recording and touring we wish to announce our discontinuation as a group. From the many pubs, theatres, stadiums and festivals all across the world it was the fans that made our amazing story possible and we wish to thank them all. Thank you, and good night.”
