Cheryl Cole, Her History In Music
CherylCole, also known as Cheryl Tweedy was born on 30 June 1983. She’s an English pop star and recording artist, who also is a dancer and model. Cheryl Cole shot to fame after winning a place in Girls Aloud on Popstars: The Rivals on ITV, in 2002. Since then Cheryl Cole has scored twenty consecutive top ten single hits, which included four number one singles, in the UK and five platinum albums (two of these went to the number one spot) with Girls Aloud. Girls Aloud earned five BRIT Award nominations, from the year 2005 up until 2010. In the year of 2009, Girls Aloud won “Best Single” with their hit single “The Promise“, which was taken from their fifth studio album “Out Of Control”. In 2009, Girls Aloud announced that they were taking a hiatus and Cheryl Cole started to forge a solo career. She went on to release two solo albums, both of which went to the number one album spot. These were 3 Words ( released in 2009) and Messy Little Raindrops ( released in 2010). Cheryl Cole has managed two number one singles, which were “Fight for This Love” and “Promise This“.
Cheryl Cole has enjoyed success away from the world of music, becoming a British style icon; featuring on covers of Vogue and also Harper’s Bazaar, while also becoming the face of renowned makeup and beauty brand L’oreal.
Cheryl Cole became a judge on the hit tv show The X Factor in 2008, featuring alongside SYCO boss Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh. Chery became the winning judge twice out of three of the series she judged on, winning with Alexandra Burke and Joe McElderry. Cheryl Cole was promisde to star on the US version of The X Factor too, however just weeks into filming the auditions, it was rumoured that Cole had been sacked from the show. Cheryl Cole has since shyed from the limelight, spending time with her Girls Aloud bandmates and Black Eyed Peas star Will.i.am, who is now the star of rival tv show The Voice.
