MUZU.TV Director Series – Spike Jonze Music Videos
A limping dog carrying a boom-box is kicked off a bus, a quirky dance troupe hijack a queue of disgruntled cinema-goers, Christopher Walken explodes into life in a slick hotel lobby while a band of loose-cannon city cops go on a rampage, flying their squad-car high over a San Francisco street.
A number of names may come to mind, but the one name that ties all of these iconic images together is none other than film director Spike Jonze. A true artist who has given so much to the music video world with playful creativity and a child-like imagination, music video director Spike Jonze is something of an unsung hero and we an MUZU.TV think its about time we gave the man some credit.
So, as a tribute to the ‘Where The Wild Things Are’ director, we have decided to create a MUZU.TV playlist of all of Spike Jonze’s best music videos and invite you to share with us your favourite bits in the comments section below.
Spike Jonze has been directing music videos since 1992 and his careers has seen him breathe life into the music of a variety of artists such as Beastie Boys, Bjork, The Chemical Brothers, Weezer, LCD Soundsystem, Fatboy Slim Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Jay-Z, Kanye West and lots more.
Spike Jonze, please keep doing what you’re doing… we salute you sir!
