Evanescence return with a new video for My Heart Is Broken, taken from their self title album Evanescense which was released in October 2011. The video from the US rockers embraces the theme of darkness and decay – front woman Amy Lee said she took inspiration from the 1988 British Horror Film Paperhouse, with the video being directed by distringuished director and photographer Dean Karr.

The album entered the Billboard 200 chart at No. 1, which Lee admitted was a huge shock to the band.

British rock institution, personal faves, and greats Feeder return with their new single ‘Borders’, which will be followed by ‘Generation Freakshow’ which is their 8th studio album on April 23rd. A classic rock anthem which is dedicated to freedom, ‘Borders’ features Feeder’s trademark anthemic choruses and the classical Feeder style massive guitar sounds. Having achieved greatness through 25 hit singles, 5 million record sales and a double platinum singles collection, Feeder show no intention of slowing down, and I really hope they don’t.

The burgeoning Leeds Music scene has prospered and brought us many delights in the last few years, and here’s the latest one. I Swim With Sharks have brought us their first single with “Just be good”. Sitting in that no man’s land of indie tinged with rock yet many pop like elements (see that catchy, repetitive, yet crunching chorus) they follow a recipe that has seen many bands of the moment bound for stardom within the pages of the NME. The single is accompanied by a grandiose video depicting World War One scenes, displaying captivating filmmaking to accompany a song of similar standards.

The song drops on November first, and you can catch I Swim With Sharks this November when they play with the equally great Tribes.

Dead By Sunrise is the new band fronted by Linkin Park lead man Chester Bennington – so you know they’ve got to be well worth checking out! We’ve got the exclusive on the new video ‘Crawl Back In’ here on MUZU.TV and are running a competition to win a cool Dead By Sunrise hoodie and some other great gear.

The new band’s first album ‘Out Of Ashes’ is tentatively scheduled for an Autumn release though Warner Bros. Records. The songs on ‘Out Of Ashes’ began to take shape during some downtime Linkin Park had before the band began recording their double-platinum 2007 album Minutes to Midnight. “I came up with a few songs that felt and sounded really good, but I knew they weren’t right stylistically for Linkin Park,” Bennington says. “They were darker and moodier than anything I’d come up with for the band. So I decided to work on them on my own rather than turn them over and have them transformed into Linkin Park tracks.” Bennington says that the music he wrote for Dead By Sunrise is darker, sexier, and more personal than anything he’s done before. “It’s got me all over it,” he says. “This is the music I hear in my head.”

Gary Go was born in London, England in the 80s and growing up in the shadow of Wembley Stadium, a young Gary pounded out his own compositions on a toy Casio, and by college became proficient on enough instruments, recording consoles and computer programs to start composing mini concept albums. Thanks to his natural knack for intriguing melodies, honest words and organic sounds, Gary was soon in demand as a musical collaborator for the likes of James Morrison, Juliette Lewis and Carina Round, as well as celebrated artist Joseph Arthur.

His Album Left Side of the Brian was released in May and Engines is the new single which is released on July 20th. Check out the video and a recent live performance at the Mayfair studios
