David Bowie perofrms an extended live version of his 1977 classic 'Heroes', on the Isle of Wight in June 2004, as part of his A Reality Tour.
Although the track had no great sucess after being released nearly thirty years earlier, 'Heroes' has since become widely acclaimed as one of his best ever songs, alongside the likes of Fame and Rebel Rebel, which he also performed on the Isle of Wight that night. As the final song of the show, he gives a lively performance of a fans' favourite.
Written by David Bowie and Brian Eno and produced by Bowie and Tony Visconti, 'Heroes' was first released as a single, but only reached #24 in the UK charts and didn't break into the US Billboard 100. It was later the title track for his album of the same name.
