The official music video for "Anything Could Happen" the lead single from Ellie Goulding’s second studio album Halcyon (2012). The song was co-written & produced by Ellie Goulding and Jim Elliot. The promo feature for the song Ellie Goulding can be seen wearing Beats by Dr. Dre in an advert as part of their #ShowYourColor campaign in early September 2012. The campaign also features basketball player for Miami Heat LeBron James and Dirty South Hip Hop artist Lil Wayne.
The music video was shot beside a beach in Malibu, California. There is a car crash and the video is centered around the couple that are involved. Ellie is then “on a rock, with no idea” how she got there, In this scene she appears to be a type of spirit/mermaid. After the crash scene we see Ellie Goulding looking back at what has happened and as the music video end we see her float off into the distance. As she stated in an interview "I wanted to do a big video with big effects by the ocean, I wanted to do something really epic”. She also admitted that she did all her own stunts for the video.
