New music video from Emeli Sande. Clown is taken from her debut ablum "Our Version of Events" released in late February 2012.

 

The music video for Clown is shot in black and white and tells the story of Emeli in the early days of her career approaching label executives to get signed. Not knowing what box to put Emeli in she got refused.

 

Emeli performed the single live on The Xfactor 2012 UK final, as well as giving an incredible version of Clown live At The Royal Albert Hall.

 

Discussing the music video on Clown-Behind The Scenes, Emeli Sande explains "It's about not allowing yourself to be judged by others or to be taken for an idiot. I feel the video reflects that," Sande explaine.

 

'Clown' was released officially as a single the middle of January 2013, at the same time as the scottish R&B soul songstress and songwriter was topping the charts with Beneath Your Beautiful featuring Labrinth.

 

Emeli Sande has also written songs for Rihanna and Alicia Keys.
