Feist official music video for Bittersweet Melodies. Bittersweet Melodies is a song performed by Feist. Canadian-born singer-songwriter and Broken Social Scene member Leslie Feist returns with a dreamy new music video for her track ‘Bittersweet Melodies’. Featuring hazy nostalgic photo and video material, the video incorporates Argentine photographer Irina Werning‘s famous photo project Back To The Future into its sequence with super-8 style retro charm. The sepia-toned visuals complement Feist’s teary-eyed nostalgic music perfectly, juxtaposing the original photo material with re-enacted versions of the snapshots adding a touch of fun to the video. Feist made her claim to fame when her song ‘1234’ was included with a full music video as promotional material for an Apple IPod Nano commercial in 2007, the song eventually being chosen as #2 in Time Magazines ‘The Best Songs of 2007’ list. Prior to this Feist was part of baroque-pop indie collective Broken Social Scene with band-mates Kevin Drew and Brendan Canning. Her song ‘Limit To Your Love’ was covered by UK electronic artist James Blake. Feist’s album Metals was released on 30 September 2011. Collaborators include Valgeir Sigurðsson, Chilly Gonzales, and Mocky. She has also collaborated with Grizzly Bear, Peaches, made a cameo appearance on 2011 The Muppets movie and is set to release a split record with progressive metal group Mastodon in 2012 as part of Record Store Day. The album, which is to be titled Feistodon, will include songs by each artist covered by the other, Feist commenting in an interview; "It's a wet dream to have Mastodon take one of my songs and put it into their massive machine".
