This is the official music video for the song “Some Nights” from American Indie- pop band FUN.. It is the second single to feature on FUN.’s second studio album which is also called “Some Nights”. “Some Nights” was written by Jeff Bhasker, Nate Ruess, Andrew Dost and Jack Antonoff and was produced by Jeff Bhasker.

“Some Nights” was what is known as a sleeper hit as it spent a total of seven months on Billboard’s Hot 100 before ascending to its peak position at No. 3.

“Some Nights” has been called a "bolder, catchier and more striking track than its predecessor "We Are Young" upping the stakes when it comes to both style and substance" by “The Re-View” and they stated that the single would: "cement FUN. as one of the most intriguing and exciting new bands to emerge from the States in recent years".

The music video for “Some Nights” was directed by Anthony Mandler and was produced by Poonam Sehrawat. The video features a re-enactment of the “US Civil War”. The story is about two soldiers, one from each side of the battle. The confederate is a farmer who cares for his life and his work and from the Union a man that has been separated from his lover. The story’s message is clear; war will have more effect than just what happens on the battlefield, It shows us that there is also a personal payment we must pay.
