Jack White official music video for ‘Sixteen Saltines’. ‘Sixteen Saltines’ is a song performed by Jack White. Not content to scale to the top of the indie-mountain with ex-wife Meg White in The White Stripes or collaborating with old friend Brendon Benson and The Greenhorns with supergroup The Raconteurs or even playing with Alison Mosshart (VV) of The Kills with gothic-blues band The Dead Weather, not to mention co-writing a James Bond anthem with Alicia Keyes or even playing spaghetti-western rock with Norah Jones, Danger Mouse and Italian composer Daniele Luppi, Jack White feels he needs to set out and distinguish himself as an artist in his own right with his new solo album ‘Blunderbuss’ set for release on XL and Third Man Records in 2012. Following on from lead single ‘Love Interruption’ with Nashville singer Ruby Amanfu, a lyrically bitter take on love (perhaps inspired by his recent divorce?)they sing "I want love to stick a knife inside me and twist it all around/ I want love to murder my own mother and take her off to somewhere like hell or up above", Jack returns with the brilliantly unhinged video for single ‘Sixteen Saltines’ directed by AG Rojas. In true ‘Lord of the Flies’ style, the video features an adult-free universe in which children get up to an endless amount of misbehaviour, from jet-powered skateboarding, to bloody hopscotch, to murderous arson. The video was shot over two days in early March in a small town outside of Nashville called Springfield.
