The official music video for "Whatcha Say" by the American singer-songwriter, actor and dancer Jason Derülo. He was originally signed to a minor recording label Beluga Heights, and after they became part of the Warner Music Group he released his first single. "Whatcha Say" was his debut single. It was produced by J.R. Rotem with additional production by German producer Fuego and samples the song "Hide and Seek" by Imogen Heap. The video was released as the free video of the week on iTunes on 27th October 2009. In the music video, he is seen cuddling on the couch inside a home penetrated by sunshine with his love interest. Later on, he is outside her door, waiting impatiently for her to forgive him, and begging her to let him in, "So let me in, give me another chance..." The video premiered on Monday, 16th November on AMTV. A video was also released for the acoustic version, which features J. R. Rotem playing the piano. It was used in an episode of Gossip Girl: season 3 called "The Treasure of Serena Madre” Also he rerecorded a new French-English version with French Guiana singer Fanny J. "Whatcha Say" debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 54 in the issue dated 29th August. It reached No. 1 in the issue dated 14th November. The song also reached the No. 1 spot on the Canadian Nielsen Sound Scan Digital Songs chart. "Whatcha Say" entered and peaked on the UK Singles chart on 22nd November at No. 3.
