Official music video for the track Silenced By The Night by Keane.
Keane official music video for ‘Silenced By The Night’. ‘Silenced By The Night’ is a song performed by Keane. Who could forget the wonderful indie lilts of Bedshaped and Silenced By The Night. We do, and ever so fondly. Well four years have elapsed since Keane’s last album ‘Perfect Symmetry’; two since ‘Night Train’, the mini-LP which followed its three full-length predecessors to the top of the British album charts, and now they return with their latest (and bound to be a hit) offering, Strangeland, which is set for UK release on May the 7th. Prior to this the band release their debut single from the album ‘Silenced By The Night’ on 30th April 2012. Keane's Silenced By The Night is a return to form for the band, with a certain air of zeitgeist to the song that seems to resound with the sense of the 'return'. Its chorus is triumphant, soaring, anthemic in all the ways Keane's best songs are, and it also manages to deftly combine the clinical piano lines and pop ethos of Hopes & Fears with the touches of 80s flair that has so dominated their more recent work. It's a bringing together of the many various parts of Keane into a new, magnificent work that feels so wonderfully 'them'.
With shades of The Killers and U2, Keane’s ‘Silenced By The Night’ is an epic stadium rock anthem that is sure to tear up the charts and airwaves for months to come. Keane achieved mainstream success with the release of their debut album, Hopes and Fears, in 2004. The album won multiple awards and was the second best-selling British album of the year. Their second studio album, Under the Iron Sea, continued the band's success, topping the album charts in the UK and debuting at number-four on the Billboard 200 chart.
