"LoveGame" is an electropop song by American recording artist and pop sensation Lady Gaga which is taken from her debut album, The Fame which was released in 2008. It was produced by RedOne, and the track was released as the album's third single in North America and also Europe and the fourth single in Australia, New Zealand and Sweden after the single "Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say)". "LoveGame" was released as the fourth single in the UK, after hit single "Paparazzi".The song was critically acclaimed for its immensely catchy tune and the "I wanna take a ride on your disco stick" hook. Lady Gaga elaborated that the phrase 'disco stick' is a euphemism for penis the inspiration came from her sexual attraction with a stranger at a nightclub. The song carries the vibe of underground New York discos, and discusses love, fame and sexuality which all feature heavily on the album "LoveGame" which charted within the top ten in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and other European countries. It was Lady Gaga's third consecutive number-one song. The New York underground inspired music video portrays Lady Gaga dancing in an underground subway station and in the non glamourouss venue of a parking lot. Th video was a tribute by Lady Gaga to the New York lifestyle including its glamour and most notably fashion. The video draws comparisons to Michael Jackson Bad, which also took place in a subway station. In Australia, the was banned from being aired at the PG rated time slots because of its sexual content.
