The official music video for “When She Was Mine” the debut single released by pop-rock band Lawson. It was released in the UK 27th May 2012 as the lead single from, their self-titled studio album Lawson. The song was released by Polydor Records and Global Talent Records. It was written by Andy Brown, Paddy Dalton, Duck Blackwell and Ki Fitzgerald and was produced by Duck Blackwell, Paddy Dalton and John Shanks. The single reached No. 1 in the Official UK singles charts. The music video premiered 11th April 2012. Lawson explained that the song is based on Mollie from The Saturdays, a band that they previously supported while on tour. The single peacked at No. 46 in Ireland and at No. 4 in Scottland. Lewis Corner of Digital Spy wrote: "What I miss the most/ Is talking up all night/ We laughed until we cried," Andy reminiscences over pop-rock guitars and beats that fall somewhere between the soul of Maroon 5 and The Script's knack for a worryingly catchy melody. "Now I'm breaking at the seams/ Dropping to my knees/ Nothing left of me," he confesses of his loss, before bursting into an ear-snagging chorus. Fortunately, we suspect the silver lining of this particular cloud is just about to shine
