Official music video for the track Someone Purer by Mystery Jets.
Mystery Jets official music video for ‘Someone Purer’. ‘Someone Purer’ is a song performed by Mystery Jets. Mystery Jets release their brand new video for single 'Someone Purer', the first to be taken from their fifth album ‘Radlands’ which is set for release on April 30th. The official music video for ‘Someone Purer’ features a dysfunctional family, a long drive and a Karma Police-esque stand-off with a peppy cheerleader. The video follows the announcement that Mystery Jets bass-player Kai Fish has quit the band after 8 years. Speaking about his departure to NME, he said: "It was probably the hardest thing I've ever done. I sat down with the guys and said, 'I'm finding being in the band really hard, but I'll try my best to carry on.' And I did, but feelings just don't go away." It has been almost two years since Mystery Jets' last album Serotonin saw the band revisit the pop foundations they had laid in their sophomore album Twenty-One. Conjuring images similar to Radiohead’s ‘Karma Police’ – car driving slowly in the dark with its headlights on, coming across people. It’s a psycholanalyst’s dream as very little of ‘Something Purer’ makes sense. The English four-piece indie band, formerly based on Eel Pie Island in Twickenham, London broke onto the scene with debut album ‘Making Dens’ in 2006 followed by US release ‘Zootime’ and ‘Twenty one’ with their own unique brand of indie-rock.
