The official music video for “Never Tear Us Apart” the latest single from English singer-songwriter/actress Paloma Faith. Originally “Never Tear Us Apart” was released by the Australian Rock band INXS in the year 1988, and was coined due to a “personal love gesture” in the lyric which was “Straight Fror The Heart”.
The song has been previously covered by a number of recording artists; Tom Jones ft. Natalie Imbruglia, Joe Cocker, Bono, Beck and Carrie Underwood to name but a few.
When Paloma Faith’s version of the song was released it was used in an advertisement for the John Lewis department store chain. She had always wanted to do a cover of “Never Tear Us Apart” and has stated she has “always loved this song” and She felt “honored to sing it”. The song is the first single off the re-release of Paloma Faith’s second studio album “Fall Into Grace”. She wears a Honeycomb styled golden metal-like dress while she stands at attention [like a soldier] in the artwork for the single.
For the songs release she received a great review from Digital Spy. Lewis Corner gave the song four out of five and stated that "It's a brave task to reinterpret a much-loved hit, but Faith's soulful tones immediately thwart any doubts that she can't do the song justice".
