Rihanna official music video for the song ‘You Da One’. ‘You Da One’ is a song performed by Rihanna.
Rihanna is back with the official video for ‘You Da One’, the second single taken from her sixth studio album ‘Talk That Talk’ released in 2011. The video was filmed in a London studio and is directed by Melina Matsoukas, who also directed the video for her previous single ‘We Found Love’. With visuals inspired by the controversial 1971 Stanley Kubrick film ‘A Clockword Orange’, Rihanna is her usual sex kitten self, and sporting a rather different from the norm blonde bouffant. In the first images from the London set, Rihanna sported short blonde hair, torn denim shorts, patterned leggings, and a white bowler hat. She held a black cane as she performed scenes in front of a bright pink wall in the visuals inspired by the 1971 film A Clockwork Orange. The video depicts Rihanna dancing in front of a black and white chequed background while the lyrics to the song are stamped across the visuals. You Da One is a mix of electro-pop and R&B with shades of reggae and dance hall music, drawing influences from the Caribbean which is not surprising coming from the Barbados-born starlet. You Da One features on Rihanna’s ‘Talk That Talk’ album which also featured the hit singles ‘We Found Love’ (a collaboration with electro-house DJ and producer Calvin Harris), ‘Talk That Talk’ (featuring Jay-Z), ‘Birthday Cake’ (featuring Chris Brown) and ‘Where Have You Been’. Rihanna references Beyoncé, Madonna and Whitney Houston as major influences on her sound along with diverse influences such as Bob Marley, Destiny’s Child and Alicia Keys.
