Valtari was released on the 23rd of May 2012 and reached no.7 on the Billboard 200, no.8 on the UK Albums Chart and topped the Irish Albums Chart. Sigur Rós was formed in Reykjavík, Iceland in 1994. The 4 piece are a critically acclaimed post-rock and ambient band whose name roughly translates as “Victory Rose”.
