MUZU™ TV SAFETY
Connecting music lovers with artists around the world is what we do best. We’ve implemented safety and privacy controls on MUZU™ TV and we’re constantly improving our systems for identifying and removing inappropriate content, but it’s important that each person on the site plays a huge role in keeping the community safe.
GENERAL TIPS
MUZU™ TV makes it easy to express your musical interests, connecting with artists, fellow fans and friends.

Making new friends is always fun but it’s important to think about who you let into your space, how you interact with them, and how you present yourself online.

Even if you’re a seasoned social networker it’s always worth refreshing your memory with five common sense guidelines for whenever you’re on MUZU™ TV, or anywhere online.
1. MUZU™ TV is public!
You can adjust and configure your privacy settings, but don't post anything in your profile or on a Channel that you wouldn't want the world to know! Do you really want strangers to know where you hang out every day, where you work or where they can find you? Changing your password every few weeks is another way to strengthen your security.
2. People aren't always who they say they are.
It's fun to connect with new MUZU™ TV fans, but think twice when you add strangers and avoid meeting up with people you don’t really know, no matter how well you get on online. If you must meet someone, make sure someone else knows what you’re doing – and always meet in a public place. Bringing along a friend or a trusted adult is a great idea, too.
3. Harassment, hate and inappropriate content won’t be tolerated!
As part of the MUZU™ TV community, you can react if you feel someone's behaviour is inappropriate. If you’re offended, or if you think other members of the MUZU™ TV community will be offended by something you see, just report it to us at abuse@muzu.tv
4. Think twice before posting anything that would embarrass you later…
We’ve all heard toe-curling horror stories so make sure you’re not the next one – because MUZU™ TV is public, think twice before posting anything you wouldn't want your parents, potential employers, teachers or your boss to see!
5. Be honest about your age.
The most important thing about your profile is that you’re honest about your age. If MUZU™ TV customer service determines that you’re under 13 but pretending to be older, we will delete your profile. Likewise, if we determine that you’re over 18 but pretending to be a teenager to contact underage users, we will delete your profile.
REPORTING ABUSE
Despite MUZU™'s safety and privacy controls, MUZU™ TV cannot guarantee that its site is entirely free of illegal, offensive or otherwise inappropriate material, or that its members will not encounter inappropriate or illegal conduct from other members.

You may encounter such content and conduct and if you do encounter pornography, harassment/bullying or unwelcome contact, let us know at abuse@muzu.tv . MUZU™ TV will acknowledge receipt of your complaint and begin addressing your complaint within 24 hours of receipt.

MUZU™ TV will use best efforts to remove the offending content or conduct and to warn or, as appropriate, to bar from the site those transmitting such content or engaging in such conduct within 24 hours of receiving your complaint. MUZU™ TV will report back to you within 72 hours of receiving your email complaint to inform you of the steps MUZU™ TV has taken to address the complaint.

We need all users to report suspicious people and inappropriate content, and we strongly encourage users under the age of 18 to talk to their parents or a responsible adult immediately if someone online says or does something to make them feel uncomfortable or threatened in any way. For inappropriate video content, all videos have a ‘Report’ functionality which will make our Moderation Team aware of the need to remove it within 24 hours.
FOR PARENTS
Children under 13 years old are not permitted access to MUZU™, and parents of children 13 years and older should consider whether their child should be supervised during the child's use of the MUZU™ site.

MUZU™ TV strongly urges parents to talk to their children about the dangers they may encounter online, and to make sure their children are using MUZU™ TV in a safe manner. Parents may want to install monitoring software on home computers if they are concerned about what their children are doing online.

Children must know that they should report any inappropriate or offensive MUZU™ TV content to their parents and to MUZU™ TV using the tools made available through the site. Parents should always remind their children to follow the important safety tips listed on this page when using MUZU™.
