Official music video for the track Greyhound by Swedish House Mafia.
Swedish House Mafia have released their video for their latest release""Greyhound"", another explosive track for The Swedes! The song was the result of the commissioning of SHM by alcohol brand Absolut Vodka to create ""an inimitable, multi-dimensional ABSOLUT experience about drinks and music"". The Swedish House Mafia DJs have produced an exceptional piece of music which befits one of the world leading brands in vodka. The video demonstrates a ""sci-fi"" theme with futuristic costumes and vehicles and gadgets. It is set in a flat desert pan location, which is reminiscent of apocalyptic thriller Mad Max. It sees the three SHM DJs compete against each other a mad sci-fi race where they run as greyhounds. The greyhounds are robotic dogs, which are controlled by the DJs at a distant location. On the desert plain, the dogs are watched by an audience who urges them to victory. The racegoers are dressed in incredibly glamorous costumes, featuring bling and futuristic embellishments. Despite the futuristic attire, the young patrons arrive in cars built back in 70s. The race goers then assemble to watch the greyhound race, with a futuristic ""artificial rabbit"" set in place. The excitement of the event is highlighted by the incredibly close competition. The crowd reacts to the many highs and lows of the event as the greyhounds run in a tie to the finish line. It's a close photo finish, which is caught on film by an old brass camera. The video encompasses many ideas from the past and future. Absolut Vodka have previously claimsed Jay-Z, Spike Jonze and Andy Warhol collaborators also. ""Greyhound"" was first played by the DJ's as part of the intro for their Madison Square Garden show in December 2011, and the reaction to the song was said to be incredible.
