The Raw Sessions

THE RAW SESSIONS with Sony Ericsson on RTE Two is a reality music, talent search launching to the world in Ireland. 

The show mixes the best parts of a                                                      rock & roll documentary
with a studio jam series and a live
concert finale!

Series creators Surplus Music,
Lotus Films and host Dez Ryan
will travel across Ireland in search of the
very best independent talent in the nation.
Every episode features two independent
artists or bands who will each enter a
recording studio and make an original song
in 12 hours or less in front of the cameras.
Episodes mix each Raw Session song writing
event with elements of the artist's true-life story
and struggles to reach their personal
dreams and goals.
Audience will download their favorite song
from the night to move their favorite bands
ahead in the show.
The three highest scoring bands and /or solo
artists will go head-to-head at a live concert
event where both the concert audience
and the audience at home will vote to select
THE RAW SESSION ARTIST OF THE YEAR!

The Infomatics awarded The Raw Sessions, Sony Ericsson Artist of the Year title.

On July 15th, The Infomatics will be officially awarded with the first ever Raw Sessions, Sony Ericsson Artist of the Year award, at The Button Factory in Dublin.

A host of Irish musicians, called The Troublemakers, have rerecorded the classic Horslips song - Trouble with a capital T - for a special Charity episode of The Raw Sessions.

The track from the Charity Session will be released as a single today May 22nd in aid of The Irish Youth Foundation.
