Released as the second single from the British and Irish group’s debut self-titled album, ‘Heart Vacancy’ is an emotional ballad about longing for a lost love with evocative string accompaniment and slow rhythmical beat. It follows the group’s debut single ‘All Time Low’ which ironically peaked at #1 in the UK Singles Chart and precedes the third single from the album called ‘Lose My Mind’. The video shows The Wanted band members Max George, Jay McGuiness, Siva Kaneswaran, Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes rocking color-coordinated army green outfits as they go for a walk-about through the backstreets of Europe. Walking casually through a town, they sing their ‘Heart Vacancy’ love ballad and eventually find themselves seated at an outdoor movie. The video goes a bit bizarre from here and a woman watching the movie gets sucked into the screen, becoming part of the cast. A year after the UK release of ‘The Wanted’, the boys will follow the success of their US hit 'Glad You Came' in the US Billboard charts by releasing 'Heart Vacancy'. The ballad peaked at No. 2 in the UK in 2010 as the follow-up to their chart-topping debut 'All Time Low’. With the US release of ‘Heart Vacancy’, the boys aim to achieve the same kind of success as 'Glad You Came' which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, the highest position ever for a British boyband.
