The video was released onto Parlophone’s official Youtube channel 21st April 2010. On it’s 1st day, the video received 300 views, following that it reached 63,000 views by 23rd April and soon after it had gathered over 140,000 views. The song was first revealed on radio show "Koko Pop" on 17th April 2010 as he and Labrinth performed it live.
The music video features Tinie Tempah and Labrinth in a derelict stone building where the two of them are surrounded by female dancers one of which is English Nike/Adidas model Funda Onal. While this takes place bright disco style lights light up the building.
After midweek sales estimates predicted that "Frisky" would reach No. 1, 9th June 2010, the single debuted on the UK Singles chart at No. 2, 13th June 2010, only being beaten by "Shout" which featured Dizzee Rascal and James Corden. "Frisky" did however manage to debut at No. 1 on the UK RnB chart. On its second week in the chart the single fell 3 places to No. 5 before falling a further 4 places to No. 9, 27th June 2010; which marked the single's third week in the Top 10.
