Tulisa is a British singer who goes by her first name and was a former member of N-Dubz and is a judge on reality TV show The X Factor UK. She is of Greek origin (surname Contostavlos) on her father’s side and was raised in Camden but had a troubled upbringing. She attended school sporadically during her teens but found some direction as a result of being invited by her cousin Dappy and his mate Fazer to join their setup. Initially Tulisa featured in a limited capacity on vocals, until all 3 joined together to form a group which went through several name changes before settling on N-Dubz. It was managed by her uncle.

While they wrote and performed a number of hits, it was only in 2006/07 that the band began to get recognition when their songs ‘I Swear’ and ‘Feva Las Vegas’ were released with the latter entering the British charts. Changing labels, the group moved to a more dance supportive collective and released their debut album Uncle B which was followed by tour of the same name.

With no connection to the Phil Collins track, the group named their second album ‘Against All Odds’. Another tour followed and they performed tracks from the album including ‘Playing With Fire’, Say It’s Over and I Need You. In a time of reality TV the bands personality lent itself towards the genre that resulted in their own multi part TV show.

Another chance in label ensued and this was swiftly followed by another album Love.Live.Life, Five tracks were released as singles. All this came to ahead and the band split in 2011, which led to individual careers for each of its members.

The first act for the sole female member of the band was to join the judging panel of the hit music show The X Factor. It was the first year of Simon Cowell’s absence from the show, but it proved to be a great one for Tulisa when her given category emerged victorious when the group she mentored ‘Little Mix’ took the crown.

Her solo career is truly under way and having enjoyed filing in Hawaii, Tulisa released Live It Up as the first single. In an exclusive interview with MUZU.TV Tulisa also exclusively previewed the track DAMN which was taken from her forthcoming album. She also revealed that in a game of Marry, Snog, Avoid involving her fellow X Factor Judges she would snog Nicole, marry Louis Walsh (but remain celibate) while avoiding the happily married Gary Barlow
