Multi Grammy Award winning Adele becomes the latest Bond soundtrack girl, joining the privileged club of selected artists who have sung a theme tune to a 007 movie.
Skyfall is the 23rd film of the James Bond franchise and stars Daniel Craig in the lead role for the 3rd time. Adele worked with producer Paul Epworth to compose the song which was recorded at The Abbey Road Studios. The official Adele video for Skyfall was released on the 5th October on Adele's official website.
The score was pulled together by composer Thomas Newman. Adele has said that being chosen to sing Skyfall is one of the proudest moments of her career. The song was released to the public on James Bond day at 00.07.
This song is the last song she would release before the birth of her child having announced her pregnancy in mid 2012. It will be a couple of years before we next have a full release of songs from Adele. She has publicly stated that she would like to have a couple of year’s break between albums.
