Fresh off from helping the careers of Ed Sheeran and Emeli Sande and watching them dominate the charts, British Grime Artist Wiley returns with his latest single Heatwave. The single is taken from Wiley’s ninth studio album which is called The Ascent. Heatwave hit the number one spot on the UK Charts on the 5th August 2012 and became Wiley’s first solo number one single. Heatwave stayed at the number one spot for two weeks and ended up selling over 140,000 copies. Wiley is better known for his 2008 hit ‘Wearing My Rolex’ which peaked at the number two spot in the UK Charts only beaten by Madonna’s single 4 Minutes. Wiley looks like he is set to return to his roots later this year as there is talk of a reunion between the other founding members of Roll Deep. Wiley has always had a strong presence in the Grime scene and his music has often influenced the up and coming MCs and producers. Wiley has been a major factor at the early career stages of several UK Stars such as Dizzee Rascal, Tinchy Stryder and Chipmunk, and other artists Ice-Kid and Little Dee. Wiley is often cited as the "King of Grime"
